Research Interests
I am a teacher and scientist with expertise in molecular biology and plant biochemistry. I have worked in various roles in academia and industry as a leader in fundamental and applied research using various plant and microbial systems. My research program focuses on plant breeding and functional genomics of biochemical pathways in plants. One of these projects is, NextGen Hops, which is a variety development program that I established at the Applied Genomics Center at KPU in partnership with BC Hop Growers Association.
